Townsperson /party child/choir member "Sound of Music" age: 9
As a townsperson I got to create a whole character for myself. I sang the song "Do Re Mi". As a party child I dressed in an elegant lavender gown. The scene was very long and I had to be very patient. As a choir member I sang "Do Re Mi" again with lots of harmony and beautiful parts. The whole experience was simply delighting and showed me the ways of the theatre business.
Jellyfish "The Little Mermaid" age: 10
I was enchanted into a land of the ocean in this brilliant musical piece. I glided across the stage dancing beautiful choreography. I got to sing multiple songs that were simply delighting! "The stage makes you come alive with the strike of a musical note."- Rondera Won.
Charlotte "Charlottes Web" age: 13
When I landed this part I was ecstatic! I embraced the part, working on it for hours and almost becoming the fascinating character. Charlotte is a sophisticated and smart individual, who cares deeply for her friends and neighbors. She is also a spider, an interesting species for a protagonist. The events she goes through are amazing and they just touch your heart with every ounce of beauty and purity possible.
Jo "Tom Sawyer" age:11
Getting this part was a dream! I played a part that was almost opposite to my personality. I got to experience life in a new way. I feel like I got a chance to show what I have in a dramatic area.
Babette "Beauty and the Beast" age:12
In this role, I used a French accent to entertain the audience. I sang so many songs I lost my voice 3 times during rehearsal everyday. I danced and glided and had a blast in this amazing role.
Chava "Fiddler on the Roof" age:13
Performing this character was almost a challenge. The character matures throughout the show and develops more depth as a character. I cried when I performed this part, for I could just reach inside her soul and pull out her feelings.
